75th Anniversary Church Service and Dinner

The East Coast Branch are organising a Service of Thanksgiving and Dinner to round off the 75th Anniversary year celebrations. All are welcome - there's plenty of room but book early to ensure a place.

The East Coast Branch is planning a Service of Thanksgiving to mark 75 years of the RNSA at St Mary’s Parish Church, Burnham on Crouch, Essex at 5pm on Saturday 30 October. The service will be led by the local vicar and by Life Vice Commodore and the East Coast’s own Hon. Chaplain Lionel Webber.

Following the service there will be Pimms in the church and an opportunity to chat prior to moving to the Swallowtail Restaurant, Burnham Yacht Harbour for a more formal dinner. We have invited the RNSA Commodore (Design) Rear Admiral S R LISTER OBE and await his reply. Our guest speaker on the night will be Dick Durham, Yachting Monthly’s News Editor.

We would like to welcome as many as can make it to the service, the church takes 300+ to fill it but unfortunately the restaurant can’t cope with quite that number. Dinner is expected to be about £25 per head including wine & port but we are still working on that detail. More details to follow. Please circulate this around your branches.

If you would like to attend please let Branch Hon Secretary Jeremy Snelling know by e-mail to jeremy.snelling@btinternet.com and he can advise full details once available.
