Start of Season Dinner

We were delighted to welcome Rear Commodore (Cruising) Peter Bailey and his wife Anne to our Start of Season Dinner. About 30 members and guests had a very enjoyable evening. After the Loyal Toast the Branch Captain proposed 75 years of RNSA and then RC(C) spoke bringing greetings to loyal subjects in the far flung empire!

3 boats were in Burnham Yacht Harbour for the meet. Barbary Heron (Norman Hummerstone) who keeps the boat there, Jacqui B (Gale Bryan) sailed from Woolverstone and Karouise (Peter Broadley) from Brightlingsea. The trip home for both visiting boats was interesting with generally Northerly fresh to strong winds. On Monday Karouise (27ft sloop) recorded a sustained gust of 38 knots as she was beating towards the Colne Bar buoy.
