Helford Buoys - fully serviced and new rubber ball supporter buoys provided
Ian Munday and Paul Broomfield have overseen the maintenance of the 2 Helford Buoys. This included a full service and the replacement of the buoys for the normal rubber ball variety. No more sleepless nights and banging on the topsides.
Following a number of comments and letters to RNSA central regarding the state of the RNSA buoys the Honorary Local Officers responsible have acted and had the moorings fully serviced at a cost of over £1000. The concerns were well founded and it was commented that you would not want to know what lay beneath the service before this work was carried out despite an annual payment to the local boatyard to keep them up to specification.
Members using this service to members are asked to send a contribution to their upkeep of £10 per night to RNSA head office.
