Dredging - investment in RNSA Moorings (Portsmouth)

RNSA have recently acquired a 3 year dredging licence from MMO to enable the RNSA Portsmouth (Moorings) management to contract a dredging company to extract siltings from Cold Harbour, Dolphin Pool and the Alliance areas. This will be done as three seperate events.

The first dredge is taking place at Cold Harbour where 4218 cubic metres will be extracted to provide a dredge depth of 1.5m below Chart Datum. Sadly this will not be apparent from the surface but it will be on Berth Holders echo sounders once the boats have been returned to Cold Harbour. A requirement for the dredger to operate is the removal of all boats and the finger pontoons which required some planning but has been achieved.
